King's Highway 409
Hwy 410->

Hwy 409 runs westerly from a partial interchange at Hwy 401 in the vicinity of Islington Avenue to Hwy 427.  The Hwy serves as the main link for westbound traffic to access Toronto's Pearson International Airport.  The Hwy also serves as an access between Hwy 401 West and Hwy 427 North (and vice versa), as these movements are not available at the large 401/427 interchange.  In recent years the length of Hwy 409 has been shortened as the western-most portion of the route was handed over to Pearson International Airport to be incorporated into the Airport's road network.
