King's Highway 11
Hwy 11A ->


Prior to 1998, Hwy 11 ran the long distance between Downtown Toronto and Rainy River. Hwy 11 is considered to be a north-south route between Toronto and Cochrane, where it becomes an east-west route to Rainy River. In 1998, the southern most 99.3 km of Highway 11 was downloaded between Crown Hill and Toronto.

Southern Terminus:

Currently there are no pictures available of Hwy 11's former southern terminus at the Gardiner Expressway in Downtown Toronto.

Current:

Technically, Hwy 11 ends at the Simcoe Road 93 & Hwy 400A interchange just to the north of Barrie, however in actuality, Hwy 11 is signed along Hwy 400A's entire distance to meet Hwy 400.

Hwy 11 is only accessible from the northbound 400. These three pictures show the three overhead signage references to Hwy 11 along Hwy 400. These images are in order from south to north.

Western Terminus:

Current:

Highway 11 ends at the Highway 600 junction at Rainy River, just east of the International bridge crossing into Baudette Minnesota
